Longarm Rental

 A "Learn the QuiltMaker Pro" Class ($120) is required before renting. 

-How to Thread the machine
-How to thread bobbin using the winder
-How to load the quilt, Batting and backing
-Proper tension
-How to meander and pantograph (if applicable)

REFRESHER COURSE 

If you haven't rented within six months of taking the GETTING STARTED class or of your last rental, you must either retake the class or take a private 1-hour refresher course before renting again.

Fee for 1-hour refresher: $60

RENTALS 

The Quilt Maker Pro are available to rent. Rentals are by appointment only..

Fee: $30/ hour, minimum of 2 hours.
 

If you are not sure how many hours it will take to do your quilting, please ask one of our quilting professionals at the shop.

Any changes to the booking, such as adding to or reducing the number of hours purchased, must be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled session. This gives the shop time to change the calendar and contact another potential renter, if appropriate. Changes made within less than 48 hours of the rental session will be charged a $25 change fee.

A Quilting Kit will be provided to you for use during your rental. We will ask you to verify that all items are in the kit at the beginning of your rental and initial a form. At the end of your rental, please return the kit; a staffer will review the contents of the kit with you and ask that you initial the form again.

The Quilting Kit contains a small screw driver for adjusting the tension, snips and a Zinger, a horizontal spool pin, an allen wrench for adjusting the needles and quilting feet, and five feet: open toe, Glide, and three Echo feet.

Sew Magarbo asks that you use only the thread that the studio carries (Aurifil and Iris). Use of a brand of thread not sold by Sew Magarbo must be approved by Sew Magarbo. 

Cancellation:  If you need to cancel your rental session, or reschedule for another day, 7 days notice is required.  Cancellations that meet this criteria will have a refund issued in the form of a store credit.
 

VALET SERVICE 

Fee: $30

Just want to come in and quilt? Let us wind your bobbins for you, load the quilt on the frame, establish proper tension, and thread the machine. Call the shop to make an appointment!

Your Responsibility: You must square-up and press your quilt top and backing. The top, backing, batting, leaders, pins, and empty bobbins must be delivered to the shop at least 24 hours prior to your rental session. 

We reserve the right to decline any improperly prepared quilt.

WorkSpace Rental

Hourly Rental Rate $10

Sometimes you just need that "me" time... And what better place to unwind and relax than in a bright open space surrounded by all things crafty, creative, and colorful?

​

Bring along your things (and maybe some good gossip) and enjoy the company of others while working on your projects. 

​

Our Janome and Babylock machines (*sewing machines, serger, embroidery, or long-arm) will be at your leisure along with our cutting tables, small tools (because who has time to remember to bring a seam gauge?!) and professional irons.

Our studio is open and waiting for you whenever you're ready. ;-)
